Why did you choose ABC in Darien?
I chose ABC in Darien because it offers a lot of support and helps students grow both academically and personally. The program creates a close-knit community where you feel encouraged to do your best, and I thought it would be a great place for me to improve and challenge myself.
What makes a Community School Program Special?
A Community School Program is special because it’s not just about learning from books—it’s about building relationships and getting support from teachers and peers. It’s a place where everyone has each other’s backs, and you really get the chance to grow, both in school and outside of it.
What is one thing you want the Darien community to know about the ABC program?
One thing I want the Darien community to know about ABC is that the staff and mentors really care about helping students succeed. It’s not just about grades, but also about becoming a better person and leader. The program gives students the tools to do their best and feel supported along the way.
How would you describe the vibe at the ABC house and what does that mean to you?
The vibe at the ABC house is super welcoming and positive. It’s a place where everyone can be themselves, ask questions, and support each other. For me, it’s a place where I feel motivated and comfortable to grow and challenge myself.
What are you most looking forward to this school year?
I’m really looking forward to continuing with cross country and Model Congress. I’m also excited to try indoor and outdoor track this year. I love being active, and these activities help me stay busy and connect with others. I’m also excited to keep being involved in the Freshman Community Group.
What activities are you involved in (or interested in getting involved in for the new scholars)?
Right now, I’m involved in cross country, Model Congress, and the Freshman Community Group. I’m also interested in doing both indoor and outdoor track this year. These activities let me push myself in different ways and meet new people.
How has ABC in Darien had an impact on you?
ABC in Darien has really helped me adjust to high school. I’ve gotten more confident in my schoolwork and feel more comfortable getting involved in activities. The mentors and the community have really helped me grow, and I feel more prepared for what’s ahead.

My transition to ABC in Darien has been really smooth. The program makes you feel like you’re part of a team, and everyone is super supportive. It’s helped me feel more confident about my schoolwork and my place in the high school community.
What else should we know about you?
I’m a pretty driven person, and I love challenging myself. I’m really into academics and activities like sports and leadership. I’m excited to see what else I can do this year and to keep growing with the ABC program.
