Chelsi joins ABC as a sophomore. She is from St. Albans, Queens where she lives with her father, step mother, her 16-year-old sister and 4 month old brother. Prior to coming to Darien High School, Chelsi attended the Women’s Leadership School. DHS is quite different from the small all-girls school she had attended since 6th grade.
Chelsi is an accomplished track and field athlete having participated in the Junior Olympics this summer in the high jump. She is running cross country this fall and plans to do indoor and outdoor track. Long term she is interested in medicine.
She dreams of being a cardio-thoracic surgeon, an interest that began after meeting her father’s doctor and was fueled by meeting others on STEM days at her old school. Fun Fact: Chelsi’s personal high jump record is 5’2” and her goal is 5’6”.
